US meets YOU.

Thank You, Thank You Love is a world premiere collection of five short plays by award winning and controversial playwright Tobias Manderson-Galvin (The Economist, Dogmeat). The work previews from 14th June and stars Manderson-Galvin himself and Miss Burlesque Victoria Becky Lou.

Thank You, Thank You Love comprises five short plays about dying on stage. A series of well meaning characters meet their downfalls and those of others in: The Holiday Video; The Caterpillar & the Wasp, Champions; The Invasion; and Thank You Love.

“Tommy Cooper’s last performance. A stage magician who realised he wasn’t very good at magic so used mistakes to his advantage and built a career in comedy out of fucking up his act. It was this premise that would lead to a tragic lonely end during his final performance, on television program ‘Live at Her Majesty’s’ when Tommy had a heart attack, fell to the floor and everyone laughed and laughed and laughed and then they cut to a commercial.” – Tobias Manderson-Galvin

Reviews

“Frenzied, subversive, anti-theatre explosion of energy that hits you hard. Kinda like you’d dropped a repeater fireworks box over an open flame then looked down to see what would happen.”
J. Daniel – The Music

“playful, thoughtful, scattered, indulgent and gloriously obnoxious…
conviction in every moment…absolutely irresistible.
Theatre lives at MKA..”

B. Neutze – Crikey

“You can’t possibly imagine what this show is.. Hypnotic and entertaining as hell. You could play laugh bingo- the audience gave every kind of laugh there is.. You won’t be forgetting this.”
J. Miles – YAWP Mag

Thank You, Thank You Love is extraordinary… it’s a chaos that’s alive…  brute force and an overpowering energetic drive; beautifully profound moments and evocative language.”
J.Jackson – AussieTheatre

“messy, kooky and embracing – funny and fun… An orgy of chaos… disarming and highly enjoyable.”
S. Sandow – Stage Whispers
