MKA Core Facility
The base of MKA’s core operations; the current home to research; and the MKA artist residency program; is Tanner Street, Richmond. About half a century ago or more, the locals of the wider metropolis of Melbourne, knew the area as as ‘Struggle Town’. It was here that MKA Richmond, a 50 seat theatre, was first built. The theatre has since been dismantled; as MKA remains a a performance company with no fixed address – responsive to time and place.
