festival of new writing + performance

The inaugural HYPRTXT Festival took place from the 02-28 June 2014.

The festival featured:

  • a festival hub with 3 pop-up theatre spaces, a bar and lounge, play readings, discussion
  • two world premieres at the festival hub
  • an Australian premiere of a Finnish text, for Refugee Week
  • a Victorian premiere of a production from Sydney
  • a satelite production Carlton’s La Mama Courthouse Theatre
  • a satelite production at FoodCourt Art Space
