JANE GRIMLEY

Jane Grimley was born in Lismore, New South Wales and is a performance maker and activist. She is interested in voyeurism, apathy and intimacy.

She makes theatrical work that blurs the personal and performative in confronting and exciting works on a small scale. She has made a show in a moving car, a football stadium and now a dysfunctional lift.

Jane Grimley is an artist who works across theatre and live art. A director and maker she has presented works at Sydney’s performance space, Brisbane’s MetroArts and Fringe festivals across Australia. The Co Artistic Director of the Crack Theatre Festival 2011 – 2012, she has also performed in works at the Next Wave festival, NRLA Glasgow, Bremen and Berlin. She has worked with Australian Performance Exchange, Version 1.0, Australian, Theatre of the Deaf. She has been an apprentice clown and has done short courses through The Dramatherapy Centre, NIDA and the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
